Baffin Badlands
These Baffin Bay Badlands are just what they suggest... Bad. Full of rock formations created by a Serpulid Polychaete Worm . These corral like rocks were created over several centuries and provide a very hazardous terrain for any boater. You can still find these Serpulid Worms today but they are not creating any new rock like formations.
Trout and other species love to hang out in these rocks for cover. Recommended to enter these waters with a fishing guide or someone with experience to navigate through the rocks. Great fishing spot for drift fishing. Tip: Use at least a 30 LB test line because the fish when hooked will try to break your line against the rocks.
Big Fat Boys (Trout) love to hang around these rocks because there are lots of nutrients in these waters and cover.
Good fishing from March to December for Speckled Sea Trout and Redfish. March, April, and May are best.

Marina's
Great Places to Begin Your Trip!We recommend the following locations for all of your boating, bait and fish cleaning needs.
You can boat launch from any of the above Marina's. Another option that many anglers use is launching their boats at Bird Island. This is located in the Padre Island National Seashore park. It will cost you an entrance fee, but will get you closer to Baffin Bay. There are no services at Bird Island so get your bait, gas and snacks before you leave.

Visit our other fishing spots along the Texas Coastal Bend as you plan your fishing adventures. Get up to date weather information near each fishing spot and learn where to launch your boat and get fresh bait.
